Ian Corfield grew up in a small town in the northeast of England; Durham to be exact, coal mining and shipbuilding country. He joined the British Army at age 16, and spent seven years active duty and three more in the Airborne Reserves. Another seven years as a British police officer working mainly in central London.
During Ian's period with the Parachute Regiment Airborne Reserves, he trained extensively with American Airborne forces in Fort Bragg, NC. Looking eventually for a change of pace and direction in my life, he officially moved to the U.S. in April 1997.
Ian found the real estate industry by working for a local new home builder. In 2001, Ian teamed up with Scott Wilkinson and joined Wilkinson ERA Real Estate. He has been heavily involved in helping the company grow while continuing to help clients find their ideal homes in a wide range of areas and price points. In September of 2020 he rejoined Scott Wilkinson at his new and innovative company NorthGroup Real Estate.

In 1995, I pioneered the first “Exclusive Buyer Agency” Firm in Greenville called Buyers First Realty which later became Realty Source.
